Bali Myna~ Leucopsar rothschildi
This critically endangered bird is endemic to the island of Bali, off the coast of Indonesia.  According to Birdlife International,  there may be less than 100 Bali Mynas living in the wild.  About 1,000 birds are believed to live in captivity, including the bird that inspired my sketch.  He was photographed the Summer of 2017 at Zoo Atlanta. A true member of the starling family, this bird was extremely curious and loud, jumping all around his aviary and attracting some outside Common Grackles over to the cage to converse with.  Really a unique and cool bird!
