Common Yellowthroat~ Geothlypsis trichas
This warbler breeds throughout North America and Canada and winters in the southeast US and central America.  It prefers to live and nest in marshes and very wet areas with low vegetation.  Female Common Yellowthroats seem to prefer males with larger masks.  The male in my drawing was originally photographed in the Spring of 2016 at our local park here in Dacula, GA; Little Mulberry.  He was gleaning insects in low vegetation near a large pond while singing, and was the first Common Yellowthroat I had ever seen and identified!
