Cactus Wren and Friends

Check out the newest collection that has just been added to Timber Tiger Treasures; Cactus Wren and Friends! It was inspired by birds and flora of the Southwest, a place I have yet to visit (well, for more than random layovers at airports out west!)

I have always been fascinated by the topography of the Southwest and how various animals and plants have adapted to specifically survive in such extreme conditions. Three birds that I focused on were Cactus Wren (he’s just too cute to ignore!), Gila Woodpecker (had to include Cactus Wren’s partner in crime), and the Greater Roadrunner (what southwestern collection would be complete without this iconic desert bird?)

I have begun works of art to eventually include other desert dwellers such as the Costa’s Hummingbird, Verdin, and various cactus blooms in oil paint and watercolor. I can’t wait to have them available in the online store!
